Core Beliefs
At The Point Church, we know people come from many different backgrounds, experiences, and traditions. Our heart is to create a welcoming church home where anyone can come to encounter Jesus, grow in faith, and find authentic community. While people may hold different views on secondary matters, we choose to stay centered on the essential truths of the Christian faith.
We hold to the historic, orthodox Christian faith that has been passed down through generations of believers and rooted in Scripture. We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and our ultimate guide for faith, truth, and daily living. Through God’s Word, we are continually shaped to become more like Jesus and equipped to live out His mission in the world.
We believe the Church is strongest when we are united around Jesus and the core teachings of Scripture. That means we value biblical truth, genuine unity among believers, and a faith that is lived out with both grace and conviction. Our desire is to help people take their next step with Jesus as we follow Him together.
Holy Scriptures
We believe in the Triune God—Father, Son, Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).
Because all humanity fell, helpless in a state of sin, the Son came and took on flesh to live among us (John 1:14). Jesus, fully God and fully man, was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life—the unique and only Son of God, our only hope for salvation (John 14:6).
Put to death on the cross, Jesus died the death we deserved to atone for our sin and raised bodily to life again, defeating death & the power of sin (Hebrews 2:14-18).
It is through faith in Christ that we participate in the death and resurrection of Christ (Romans 6:5-8). Meriting nothing on our own, it is by the work of Christ that we are reconciled to God (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to dwell in and regenerate Christians, establishing the Church—the worldwide community of Christians. (John 14:26; John 20:22)
Through the power of the Spirit, the Church exists both as an outpost of the Kingdom of Heaven (2 Peter 2:9-12) and as a means through which the message of Christ’s salvation reaches the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8).
Once the fullness of this mission has been carried out in the Father’s eyes, Christ will come again to judge the world, restore all things, and fully institute the Kingdom of God (Acts 3:21).
Mission & Prayer
At The Point Church, our mission is to help people encounter Jesus, experience the power of His salvation, and live as part of the Kingdom of God in every area of life. We desire to be a Christ-centered community where people can belong, grow in faith, and be transformed by the presence of God.
Our prayer is that God would move powerfully in our church, our city, and beyond — bringing hope, healing, and renewal as more people come to know and follow Jesus. We want to see lives changed, families restored, and the love of Christ lived out in our community and throughout the world. Amen.
