RCMC Community Outreach

If you are interested in volunteering on the fourth Saturday of the month, there are many ways to serve. We begin packing lunches at 12:00 PM, and once packing is complete, we head out for outreach.
There are several opportunities to help:
  • Pack lunches and care bags
  • Write encouraging notes such as “Jesus Loves You.”
  • Join us during outreach
  • Help serve in the line
  • Greet people as they arrive
  • Pray with others — our favorite part!
If you would like to come the first time just to observe, that is completely okay too!
We are looking forward to seeing everyone and serving together as the hands and feet of Jesus. Blessings!

Point Church water bottle packing

Sometimes making a difference starts with something as simple as filling a bottle. We're inviting you to help pack Nalgene bottles that will be distributed during the fourth Saturday community outreach with Riverside Community Methodist Church. Each bottle is filled with practical items that provide comfort, care, and encouragement to those facing difficult circumstances. It may only take a little time to pack a few supplies, but every bottle becomes a tangible reminder that someone is seen, valued, and loved. Join us as we prepare these gifts of compassion and help place hope into the hands of our neighbors.

Threads of Miami Valley

A new Tuesday opportunity is opening at Threads of Miami Valley, and we'd love for you to be part of it. Threads provides essential clothing to individuals and families in need at no cost, helping restore dignity, build confidence, and offer hope to those facing difficult circumstances. By serving, you'll help create a welcoming environment where people are treated with compassion and care as they receive the clothing they need. What may seem like a simple act—sorting clothes, stocking shelves, or helping someone find the right fit—can remind a person that they are seen, valued, and deeply loved. Join us on Tuesdays as we help clothe our neighbors with both practical support and the kindness of Christ.

RCMC Celebrate Recovery Meal

Every third Thursday, before the testimonies are shared and the healing begins, a simple meal creates space for people to breathe, connect, and remember they are not alone. We're looking for individuals, families, small groups, and friends who would be willing to cook and serve a meal for the men and women of Celebrate Recovery at Riverside Community Methodist Church. It's more than providing dinner—it's offering hospitality, encouragement, and the love of Christ to people taking courageous steps toward freedom and restoration. One meal can say, "You matter. You're welcome here. Keep going." If you'd like to be part of creating that kind of impact, we'd love for you to sign up and serve alongside us.

Summer Fun Days at Chevy Chase

Join us July 27, July 29, and July 31 from 11:00 AM–2:00 PM as we serve the kids and families of our community at Chevy Chase!

We’ll be providing lunch, leading a fun craft, and enjoying yard games with the kids throughout the day. This is a great opportunity to build relationships, share encouragement, and make a positive impact in our community.

If you’re interested in helping serve, we’d love to have you join us! Sign up today and be part of making these days special for local kids. 💙🎨🍔🏐

Springboro Community Assistance Center (SCAC)

This summer, you can help put food on the tables of families right here in our community. Springboro Community Assistance Center (SCAC) is looking for volunteers to serve in their food pantry, helping stock shelves, organize donations, and assist neighbors who may be facing difficult seasons. Hunger doesn't take a summer break, and neither does the opportunity to show compassion. Whether you can give a few hours or serve regularly throughout the season, your time can provide more than groceries—it can offer encouragement, dignity, and hope to someone who needs it most. Join us this summer as we love our neighbors in a practical way and make a lasting impact, one family at a time.

RCMC Whiz Kids

Whiz kids takes a dual approach in helping children: literacy and mentoring.
Research shows that students who can’t read by the 4th grade are 4 times likely to drop out. Research also shows that to build resilience in a child, a caring adult is vital. Whiz Kids strives to work in both of these areas.
Once you learn to read, you read to learn. It is not a lack of intelligence that holds these students back, but rather a lack of support systems and role models. You can change a child’s life by simply sharing your valuable skill of reading with them, and by becoming that support system and role model they need to succeed.
There is a Whiz Kid who needs YOU.
You can join God in His work with Whiz Kids, too! There are lots of ways to help!
  • We need drivers--we're expanding to Brantwood Elementary for pick up next school year!
  • We need clean up helpers. The team is
exhausted by 5 p.m., and having people come in to help clean up would be such a blessing!
  • We always need mentors to be there for the kids.
  • We also always need Prayer Angels who commit to pray and write notes of encouragement for the children.
  • We need people to provide meals for the kids and the team.
And more that I can't think of right now!
Blessings to you all! Don't forget to pray for Whiz Kids!
