How 2540 Works
To keep the mission simple and focused, 2540 organizes service around five core ministry expressions. Each expression represents a major area of need where people in our community and around the world are struggling. These five expressions create simple entry points for volunteers so that anyone can quickly find where their passion or calling fits. The five expressions are:
The Table — Meeting hunger and building relationships through food support.
The Well — Providing life-sustaining essentials such as clean water and basic necessities.
The Dwelling — Supporting safe and stable living conditions for individuals and families.
The Clothed — Providing clothing and essential items that restore dignity.
The Return — Walking with people through recovery, crisis, and life transformation.
Together, these expressions help organize the many ways people can serve while keeping the mission clear and focused.

Strengthening What Already Exists
2540 is not designed to replace or compete with ministries that already exist within the church.
Instead, it is designed to strengthen and support them. All of the outreach partnerships and service opportunities that currently exist remain part of the mission. 2540 simply organizes them in a clearer way so people can easily understand where they fit and how they can get involved. By bringing these opportunities together under one unified mission, we create:
• Greater visibility for ministries already serving
• Clearer pathways for volunteers to engage
• Stronger collaboration between partners
• More consistent support for the organizations we care about
The goal is not to start over. The goal is to build on what is already working and help it grow.

Creating Opportunities Throughout the Week
Another goal of 2540 is to create more opportunities for people to serve throughout the week, not just during occasional church events. Many people have schedules that allow them to serve during weekdays, evenings, or different times than traditional outreach moments. By partnering with multiple organizations and ministries, 2540 opens the door for volunteers to serve in a variety of ways throughout the week.
Some opportunities may be ongoing commitments, while others may be one-time projects or occasional service events. This flexibility allows people to serve at the level that fits their availability while still making a meaningful impact. Our hope is that serving becomes something people do regularly, not just occasionally.

A Culture of Compassion
Ultimately, 2540 is not just about organizing projects. It is about shaping the culture of our church.
When people have clear opportunities to serve, something powerful happens:
• People discover their purpose
• Faith becomes active
• The church becomes visible in the community
• Needs that once felt overwhelming begin to be met
The vision is to build a community of people who instinctively move toward those who are hurting.
A church that does not look away from pain—but runs toward it. Because when we serve the least of these, as Jesus said in Matthew 25:40, we are serving Him.
