A Call To Fast
As we prepare for the good work of packing over 25,000 meals, let us prepare our hearts for this moment. I invite you to participate in a church wide fast on Wednesday, September 25 from 11am to 3pm.
Spend time in prayer, reading your Bible, listening to worship. By choosing to go without for one meal so we can direct our attention fully to God and also identify with the hunger pains of those around the world. That we may place ourselves in their situation even for a few hours that we might be moved with compassion to love them well. We do not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.
